During use, due to grinding force, temperature rise, workpiece impact, and other reasons, The metal coating containing diamond will be separated from the steel substrate, This is called plating detachment. The coating peeling off is generally localized, and it is rare for the coating to peel off completely at one time.
(1) The plating layer falls off to the substrate surface: That is, the metal plating layer containing diamond and the metal bottom plating layer without diamond are separated from the steel substrate at the same time.
(2) The layer falls off to the metal substrate: That is, the metal substrate layer without diamond is not separated from the steel substrate, but the metal substrate layer containing diamond is separated from the metal substrate layer.
(3) Layered separation of plating metal in metal coatings containing diamond: During the use of metal coatings containing diamonds, the coating metal in contact with the workpiece is not normally worn, It is abnormal flake or powder shedding, and the diamond is not completely shedding, but partially granular shedding, This phenomenon is not easy to attract attention, The consequence is that the product has a short lifespan, often giving the illusion of poor grip or wear resistance of the plated metal. Eliminate factors such as burnt coating and poor wear resistance of coating metal during thickening, During the normal use of a tool, when the diamond particles fall off intuitively as there are continuous large holes on the surface of the tool, it should be the fall off of such coatings.
