Precautions for using diamond grinding wheels

Zhengzhou Shine Abrasives CO.,LTD  Time:2024/1/5

(1) Diamond grinding wheels are only suitable for processing high-hardness materials and are not suitable for grinding general steel or other soft materials.

(2) After the diamond grinding wheel is mounted on the flange, it must also be statically balanced before use. Do not remove the grinding wheel from the flange before it is used up. This can extend the service life of the grinding wheel.

(3) Machine tools using diamond grinding wheels must have good rigidity, high rotation accuracy of the main mechanism, and be capable of micro-amount lateral feed.

(4) The grinding amount should be selected appropriately.

(5) Coolant should be used as much as possible when grinding, which not only improves grinding efficiency and grinding quality, but also reduces grinding wheel wear. Commonly used coolants include kerosene, light diesel and light gasoline, etc. Generally, kerosene is the best.

(6) When a new diamond grinding wheel is started to be used, it also needs to be trimmed in order to obtain the correct shape. The WA180L5V whetstone (clamped on a vise) can be used for trimming. If you find that the grinding wheel is not sharp enough or jammed during the grinding process, you can also hold a silicon carbide sanding bar and carefully trim the working surface of the grinding wheel.

(7) The diamond grinding wheel is a valuable abrasive tool and should not be left lying around. It should not be exposed to moisture, corrosion, impact, etc., nor should it be exposed to high temperatures.
