What aspects of the grinding wheel itself can caus
During the use of the grinding wheel, clogging is often encountered. There are two types of reasons that affect the clogging of the grinding wheel. One is the grinding wheel itself, and the other is the grinding conditions of the grinding wheel. Today we look at the main reasons why the grinding wheel itself affects clogging.
1. Types of abrasives:
Different abrasives have different chemical affinities with workpiece materials, different grinding temperatures, and different grinding forces. In order to reduce the degree of clogging, different types of abrasives should be selected for different workpiece materials.
2. Abrasive particle size:
Under the premise that the structure and size of the grinding wheel are the same, the finer the abrasive, the greater the number of particles, the more uniform the arrangement, the number of pores increases, and the volume of a single pore becomes smaller. Under the same grinding parameters, fine grinding wheels are prone to clogging.
3. Grinding wheel hardness:
A grinding wheel with high hardness will severely scratch and squeeze the workpiece before the blunt abrasive grains fall off, and the grinding debris will easily fill the pores of the grinding wheel. The grinding process is accompanied by a large amount of frictional heat, which provides melt for adhesive blockage. Knot.
4. Grinding wheel structure:
The grinding wheel structure reflects the proportional relationship between abrasives, binders, and pores. The denser the structure, the smaller the pore ratio, the smaller the cutting edge spacing, and the grinding wheel is more likely to be clogged.
