Electroplating process that puts "coat" on diamond
With the rapid development of industrial production, the hardness of the materials being processed is getting higher and higher, and ordinary metal grinding tools can no longer meet the needs, so people begin to look for abrasive materials with higher hardness.
Diamond has high hardness, is sharp and can dissipate heat. If diamond can be encrusted on various tool substrates and used to make some grinding and cutting tools, how to make the diamond and the substrate well encrusted involves a manufacturing process - diamond electroplating.
Electroplated diamond is based on the principle of electroplating. Diamond particles are encrusted on the workpiece with nickel. Part of the diamond will be encrusted on the substrate, and the other part will be exposed on the surface to form a strong and wear-resistant working layer. The purpose of electroplating diamond is to increase the cutting and polishing capabilities by encrusting dense diamond particles on the surface of metal workpieces.
